ASTX-2 is an automatic sun tracker for the measurement of the direct solar radiation, by mounting pyrheliometer, or sunphotometer.
This tracker accuratly follow the direction of the sun by the sun position sensor, controled by the built-in CPU.
Latitude, Longitude, and time are automatically set by the standard optioin of GPS system.
Maintenance of ASTX-2 is easier than the conventional model, as it employees the gear drive.
It has a relay input/output for the bypassing cables from the sensors, that can prevent the stuck of the cables during the rotating movement of the sun tracker.
Main body of this sun tracker can be easily removed from the tripod base, so that the unit can also be mounted on the poletop.
