Sun Tracker ASTX-2
ASTX-2 is an automatic Sun tracker for the pourpose of measurement of the Direct Normal Irradiance (DNI).
This device automatically tracks the sun in order to take in direct light
by installing a Pyrheliometer and a sunphotometer. By attaching a sun position
sensor, the built-in CPU enables fully automatic tracking. Latitude, longitude,
and time are automatically set from the included GPS. ASTX-2 is gear-driven
for easy maintenance. The main unit of the tracking device has a relay
input/output for mounted equipment, allowing the cables of mounted equipment
to be routed through the main unit of the tracking device, preventing the
cables from getting caught when the device is rotating. The tripod base
supporting the main unit can be easily removed and the main unit can be
mounted on a pole.
